Interview with Nomcebo Khumalo

“It was beautiful to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them so that they can grow in the Lord”

What’s your biggest achievement since you came out of LXP?

LXP is the Leadership Experience. It is a program in South Africa where leaders undergo an intensive 11 month training. We send many upcoming leaders to LXP each year so they can grow.

Eswatini Staff Nomcebo
Nomcebo helps manage the records of the children who attend our CarePoint. She is regularly printing letters from our “Special Friends” for Swazi children to read.

Ever since I came from LXP, I’m proud of the knowledge I got from LXP because I have been able to make a good relationship with the kids together with the cooks because I was the person who was shy to socialize with people, even the kids was so easy to open up and share their stories and I shared mine with them. It was beautiful to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them so that they can grow in the Lord.

How are you willing to solve the issues of poverty in your community?

I am willing to help fight poverty in our community in a way that most people believe that in order to fight poverty you have to go look for a job whilst for is like I wish one time I can talk to them and advice about resources that they already have and using them is not about being hired, some of them have a vast of land that they are not using so I would advice that if they can use it to grow and produce plants and vegetables to sell and get money for a living.
